Quantum Leap
History is written as we live it -
Slow steady progress inevitably inexorably takes each of us forward
But sometimes…….
When we reach for something much higher -
When we stretch our resolve even further
When we push past previous limits…… to beyond -
just sometimes….
it is possible to exceed all expectations……
to realise our very dreams
~ Anna Nielsen
As you may know, I declared March Rock the World month: a commitment to myself to move forward bravely and without fear, to be bold and fully step into the life and business that I’m envisioning for myself. No excuses.
Many of you joined me and committed to rocking the world in March in your own way. It’s so much more fun and a lot easier when you’re in good company, and I want to thank you for committing to yourself and your dream.
March was also my birth month. My parents came over to Ireland to celebrate this day with us. Apart from the best gift of their presence, they gave me another gift as well: the print ‘Quantum Leap’ by Anna Nielsen, a Danish artist living in Ireland. I have been admiring Anna’s work for about three years and her Quantum Leap print has been my favorite for a good while, so you can imagine how happy I was when my parents proposed this as my birthday present!
The reason I love this print so much is because it invites me to explore my comfort zone and my self imposed limitations. It encourages me to step out of the box I have created for myself, to reach higher, to stretch myself more. It reminds me to rock the world every. single. day.
And you know what? Quantum leaps don’t actually need to be huge leaps. Every time you stretch further than you have stretched before counts as a quantum leap. Every time you step out of your comfort zone, it’s a quantum leap. Every time you don’t give up when you would have given up before is a quantum leap. Every time you feel the fear and do it anyway, yup, quantum leap. It’s not about the size of the leap, it’s the act of leaping that counts.
Are you ready to leap?
