For those times when life feels like chaos and all you can do is get through the day. Through the week. When all you can do is survive. When you are so tired you don’t have any energy left to spend on things that are important. That truly matter to you.
When all you can do is react to what’s happening instead of leading your own life. For those times when it feels like life is a burden instead of a joy and you just don’t know if you can do it. How you can do it. When you just wish everything was back to normal.
For those times when it feels like you’re on your own. When nobody seems to understand you, not even you. When you have no idea in which direction to go. When you just don’t know what to do.
For those times, I want you to know that it will get better. This too shall pass. You can do it. You may not see it now. May not believe it now. But things will shift. Maybe in a big way. Maybe in a subtle way that you might not notice immediately. But they will shift. The sun will shine again.
For those times, I want you to take care of yourself. Even when you feel you don’t have time for it. Especially when you feel you don’t have time for it. Sit down for 5 minutes with a cup of herbal tea. Breathe. Cry. Journal. Ask for a hug. Ask for help.
For those times, take care of your health. Make sure to stay hydrated. Eat enough fruits and veggies. Move your body, even if it’s just a single stretch. Stay connected to yourself and your body in whatever small way you can (the big ways will still be there later).
For those times, baby steps. Don’t beat yourself up over all the things you should be doing, but are not. Be compassionate. Loving. You’re doing the best you can.
For those times, I want to tell you that you are amazing. You are loved. You are strong, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. You have a fire burning inside you that will keep you warm. A big light radiating from you that will show you the way. You are held safe in the warm, soft hands of the universe. You are being taken care of.
For those times, I want you to believe. Trust. Have faith.
For those times, I want you to remember that you will live again instead of surviving. You will have time and energy again instead of feeling overwhelmed. You will lead your life again instead of just reacting. And life will feel like a joy again instead of a burden.
